Welcome to Crismon!
Welcome to Benjamin Franklin Charter School, Crismon Campus. As we prepare for the 2020-2021 school year I both recognize and embrace the unique challenges that we will encounter. I am energized knowing that how we face the future will have a deep and meaningful impact on the lives of our students. Our focus this year is to support our students as they achieve the high standards of academic excellence and personal growth that are associated with our school. We recognize each student brings a deeply personal set of experiences and we aim to bolster each child as they achieve their personal best.
At Benjamin Franklin we believe in far more than test scores. We are committed to the whole child. Students participate in music classes which utilize the internationally recognized Kodaly method. Students perform several times per year including a culminating experience in which our 6th grade students put on an entire musical production. Our Physical Education program prepares students to not only meet, but exceed National Presidential Fitness standards. Our parent organization enables us to teach Art Masterpiece wherein students learn about and attempt the styles of the world's most renowned artists. Through the use of the Core Virtues program we instill values of character which focus on moral, civic, and intellectual development.
I have high expectations for myself, the staff, the students, and the parents here at Crismon. It is important that every student that walks through our doors feels welcome, valued, and capable. Communication between staff, home, and school is absolutely essential in the operation of a successful classroom and school. I am committed to supporting you as we work together to instill in our students the skills and knowledge they will need in order to be successful in school and in life beyond our walls. When a student finishes his/her time with us, it is my desire that he/she will have learned through experience that creativity, optimism, and elbow grease frame the doorway to success.
